Educate the Children
Educate the Children (ETC-Nepal) was the primary implementing agency for GFV’s activities. They were selected because of their grassroots approach, their commitment to community involvement and sustainability, and their remarkable history of community and development work. GFV and ETC are currently collaborating on the Caregiver Training Program, the School Support Program and preliminary work on the Initial Family Project.
Educate the Children (ETC-Nepal) is committed to improving educational opportunities for the people of Nepal, with particular attention to women and children from janjati (ethnic minority) and dalit ("untouchable caste") communities. ETC’s work is based on a comprehensive “Integrated Community Development” (ICD) model. ETC has three program areas: the Education Program, the Women’s Literacy and Development Program, and the Agriculture Program.
